The Story Teller

Back when I was in elementary school, I used to play a game with my classmates while we were out on the playground. I would have them, at random, pick the subject of a tale that they wanted me to tell. I would then spend the next ten minutes story telling, speaking very quickly. I, honestly, don't have a clue as to the quality of the stories I told. I do, however, remember having a small crowd around me as I did my stuff.

One or two years ago, I asked my wife to do the same thing for me. She would give me a topic, and I would spend some time writing on that topic. I believe my story The Can, which I recounted in an earlier blog post, came from my wife's prompt to write something on recycling.

In any event, I'd like to try a little experiment. I love writing, but for some reason I seem to do better when someone else gives me a topic than when I create my own.

So, I would like to ask my readers to give me topics. ANY topics. And I will endevor to write about it. I make no promises as to what I will come up with. It might be a non-fiction essay. It might be a fictional short story that barely brushes the topic. It may be a couple of paragraphs or it may be the first several chapters of a book. It may be silly, or it may be deeply serious. I haven't a clue...

...and neither do you.

I ask this as a small favor, and I hope to give you great returns.

Huggles.
Steve

I love Pizza too. Hehe
It is good to see you writing.
How about the black hole you've visited while you were away and how
you escaped to return to your blog?

Our first 1 1/2 years in SL has brought the two of us very far from where we started, and what we were doing. We have had to totally revamp our game plan, and change our goals and activities drastically. Even to the point of new friends.

Where do you picture us a year from now? Will we even still be in SL? What will we be doing? Where will we live (rent, own, opensim, etc)?
